What is Spinal Research Hero Month?
During the month of March each year, individuals and practices around the world hold a variety of fundraising activities, to support the Australian Spinal Research Foundation. Participants choose whatever activities they want to do, and they have a blast.
What do we raise funds for?
In the past 2 years, we raised around $44,000 for the ASRF Case Report Project. A huge thank you to our Heroes, Donors and Sponsors!
In 2023, we again raised funds for some very important research – the 3rd annual ‘ASRF Case Report Project’. This exciting project is gathering front-line evidence in the form of case study information from Chiropractors like you. The 2021 and 2022 projects have resulted in around 50 Case Reports being published in 2021-23!
What activities can you do during Hero Month?
You are only limited by your imagination! One of the most popular activities is having a Super Hero Dress-Up Day or Week, but there are so many great ideas!
Some ideas to inspire you…
- Hold a ‘Hero Dress Up Day/Week’ in practice and raise funds.
- Host a health talk for your community and raise funds.
- Sell Dr Marcus Chacos’ kids chiropractic books in your practice. All funds go to the ASRF.
- Do a Fun Run or Marathon and get friends and family to sponsor you.
- Chiropractors – donate what you would pay for your adjustments in March, if you weren’t a Chiro.
