Activator Seminars 2022

The ASRF will host a series of seminars that will allow you to master the use of the Activator tools, and if desired, to gain your Activator certification.

Track 1 – Basic Seminar – 6 Hours CPD/FLA.

Presenter – Mark Feldman, DC, FICC

Mark has been instructing AMCT since 1995. He is a Senior Clinical Instructor (certified by Activator Methods International) to teach all three programs – “Basic” (Track 1), “Extremities” (Track 2) and “Clinical Conditions” (Track 3). ACA/CAA member since 1997 and Registered with AHPRA and insured with Guild.

Learning Outcomes:

This seminar shall educate attendees on the history and development of Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) and the role that instrument adjusting plays in the contemporary practice of chiropractic. We will review and evaluate the published research that validates the use of the specific AMCT evaluation of Leg Length Inequality (LLI) and the trademarked Activator Adjusting Instrument (AAI). We will demonstrate and explain the AMCT analysis of LLI, correct use of the AAI and risk minimisation protocols while practicing AMCT.

This seminar will cover the following topics:

• The history and development of Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT)
• The research that underpins the use of the Activator analysis and the Activator Adjusting Instrument (AAI)
• The Activator leg length analysis
• The Activator Basic Scans (Lower extremity, Pelvic, Lumbar, Thoracic, Scapula and upper extremity, Cervical)
• Safe and correct use of the AAI
• Risk minimisation while using AMCT and the AAI

Track 2 – Extremities – 6 Hours CPD/FLA.

This seminar will cover the following topics:

• Review of the specific AMCT leg check procedure
• Complete spinal analysis – superiority/inferiority, laterality, facet imbrication – at every level of the spinal column
• Comprehensive (advanced) analysis of the pelvis
• Comprehensive (advanced) analysis of the lower extremity – hip, knee, ankle, foot
• Comprehensive (advanced) analysis of the upper extremity – shoulder, elbow wrist, hand

This seminar shall educate attendees on the complete spinal analysis used in AMCT, plus the analysis and adjusting procedures for the upper and lower extremities. We will demonstrate and explain the various assessment and adjusting procedures, explore clinical considerations and present the current research that validates the specific AMCT evaluation of Leg Length Inequality (LLI) and the trademarked Activator Adjusting Instrument (AAI). We will instruct and guide attendees through the various testing procedures involved in the AMCT protocols for the entire spine and extremities.
