This study proposes to determine whether the application of a bony manipulation alone will benefit an asthmatic patient. Asthmatic patients will have their respiratory function measured before a chiropractic adjustment is perfo­rmed and then again after the adjustment to determine whether there is any change in the respiratory function.

The benefit to the community of this study would be the research into a drug-free alternative for the control of the symptoms of asthma.
